11 Weeks and the Sickness Remains
Well, here we are right at 11 weeks and Katie is still feeling the sickness. Although, why they call it morning sickness beats the heck out of me. It should be called morning, afternoon, evening, and the middle of Wal-Mart sickness (or, just barely made it to the car in a plastic Wal-Mart bag sickness). When will it ever end?
Katie was hanging her head over the great white throne this morning (not the one written of in Revelation) and I said to her, “This kid better be worth it. He/She better cure cancer or something like that.” Please be in prayer for Katie as she endures this time. She has been so great through it all, though. She doesn’t complain. She doesn’t act grumpy. She just takes it all in stride. Hopefully as this first trimester comes to an end so will the sickness.
On a brighter side, Katie has her doctor’s appointment Thursday where we will get to hear the heartbeat. We are both very excited about that. We will post on Thursday to let you know how that goes. Until then…
On Monday, May 26, 2008, we took a home pregnancy test and found out that we were great with child (before that we were just plain great). Who knew that peeing on a stick could bring such joy? We even took a picture of the stick but we’ll spare everyone that image.
