Workin’ On A Full House

It’s Our Annivadaversary!

For those of you who are puzzled by the title of this post, it’s a Friends reference.  Today is our anniversary!  Three years ago today, Katie and I took the plunge into married life; ready for our lives as we knew them to change forever.  And change they did.  But for the better no question.

I can only speak for myself, but these three years, even with the moments of frustration (usually my fault), have been the best of my life.  Katie is an amazing wife.  She is servant-hearted, loving, and she always makes me feel like I’m the handsomest, most talented, best husband in the world (and we all know none of those things are true.)  She is truly a blessing.  When John Franklin was performing our wedding ceremony he quoted Proverbs 18:22, “He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.”  There is no doubt that Katie is the quintessential fulfillment of this statement.

Let me just brag on her for a quick moment.  She woke me up about 5:30 this morning and had a rolled up piece of paper with a bow around it.  Opening it I saw that she had three things printed on it (and I will paraphrase).  #1, You have biscuits and gravy ready and waiting for you for breakfast (and she doesn’t even like biscuits and gravy).  #2, We will go out and get you any set of wireless speakers you want (I’ve been wanting to put some wireless speakers throughout the house to play music from my computer which is upstairs).  And #3, There is one more fun present for you which will be delivered on an undisclosed day (I think she means the baby).  What a good wife!!  The biscuits and gravy (and eggs) were awesome!

Happy Anniversary, my beautiful, wonderful Katie.  You will never know just how grateful I am for you.
