Writing with My Personal Touch
I am literally typing this with my touch; that is, my iPod Touch. A new application allows me to update our blog from my iPod Touch. Isn’t technology cool?!
Well another week has come and gone and Katie has entered into her second trimester; although, she is still not experiencing the “glowing period” that is said to come in the second trimester. The anti-nausea medicine seems to be helping quite a bit but she does still have a weak stomach occasionally, and now she is experiencing pretty intense headaches almost on a daily basis. I think I know why it’s called a “trimester.” It tries every last part of the pregnant mother. And yet, Katie doesn’t ever complain.
Paul says in Philippians that he considers all the pain and suffering he’s having to go through as nothing when compared to the blessing and reward of eternity in the presence of Christ. Although no earthly experience could ever really be compared to Heaven, the process of pregnancy and childbirth is a great metaphor for the Christian life. Although the time is trying and the experience can be painful, all of it pales in comparison to the blessing of the end result. Praise God for the parable of pregnancy!
On Monday, May 26, 2008, we took a home pregnancy test and found out that we were great with child (before that we were just plain great). Who knew that peeing on a stick could bring such joy? We even took a picture of the stick but we’ll spare everyone that image.
