Just Because She’s So Cute

Just wanted to post this pic of Kharis for no other reason than just because she’s so cute.  And, apparently, her aunt is too (both aunts).  The shirt was a gift from Grandma Arnold.

And I am cute

March Madness

What a crazy month March was.  We had visitors, Kharis got four shots, we had visitors, and we had visitors.  Here is a brief overview of what our month looked like:

The first full weekend of March we had Grandma Arnold and Great Grandma and Grandpa Taggart come to visit.  It was a weekend of firsts for Kharis.  It was her first time to meet her Great Grandma and Grandpa Taggart and her first time to go on a walk outside in a stroller (in a padded seat…laying down…being pushed…so really nothing different than normal for her).

The second weekend in March, Grandma Parrish and Great Grandma Beth visited.  This was a wonderful weekend.  Both grandmas, regular and great, were very excited to see Kharis.  This weekend was also special because Kharis had her baby dedication at church.

The third weekend, Katie’s college friends came to see us.  And the hits just kept on rolling.  That is to say, we once again had a great weekend.  Kharis got to meet some of mommy’s friends and go on her first girls’ day out to the mall.  Kharis and Lindsay became especially good friends as Kharis felt comfortable enough to spew her breakfast all over Lindsay the very first day.  Congratulations, Lindsay, on being inducted into the baby hall of flem.

The week after the girls came Kharis had a not so fun time at the doctor.  She got four shots.  She did not appreciate this.  Yes, daddy should have been consoling his little girl but, of course, he was taking pictures instead.

Finally, the last weekend in March, Grandma and Grandpa Arnold, Aunt Ashley, and Kharis’ new buddy, Chris, came to the Music City for some good ole family fun.  We cheered on Mizzou, Ashley bought Kharis her first pair of shades (very cool shades), and Kharis got her first picture taken with a dead pig.  I will give you all a moment to think back to when you got your first picture taken with a dead pig…ah, the memories.  (Our church was hosting a Wild Beast Feast at which there was a whole hog being cooked.  Obviously, we had to get a picture with Kharis next to the pig.)

Thanks to everyone for a great month!

I’ll Pass on the Corned Beef and Cabbage…

…but maybe mommy will dye my milk green.

Hi.  This is my first St. Patrick’s Day and I wanted to show-off my new shirt which was given to me by my Grandpa and Grandma Arnold.

A fun fact:  Did you know that we associate green with St. Paddy’s Day because green is the color of a shamrock (a popular sign for the luck of the Irish) and the shamrock, a three-leaved plant, is what St. Patrick used to describe the Holy Trinity?  I thought it was a little cool fact.  Anyway, here’s me with my shirt on.  Thanks Grandma and Grandpa A.
